Magen began her dance training with San Elijo Dance Academy in 2006, studying under some of San Diego’s leading instructors. She is trained in a variety of styles, including ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, pom and hip hop. As a competitive dancer, she and her team earned regional and national recognition during her time at San Elijo Dance and into High School. Since 2008, Magen has been involved with West Coast Ballet Theater’s production of “The Nutcracker” and has participated in numerous Showcases and Community Outreach Events. She has also attended ballet summer intensives and master workshops to broaden her expertise. Magen spent two seasons with the renowned hip-hop team Supremacy Dance Fam, competing and ranking against some of the top teams worldwide. Currently, she is completing her B.S. in Kinesiology: Fitness Specialist at San Diego State University, with the goal of using her education to support injury prevention and health promotion for dancers and athletes. Magen is excited to share her passion for dance and extensive knowledge at SEDMA, the place where her journey began.
