Jared Friedrichs

Guitar and Violin Instructor

Jared’s music journey officially began when he was 11 years old. He played the violin in the string orchestra ensemble at Valley Middle School under the direction of Amanda Boar. During this time Jared studied violin and guitar with Will Sumner. He continued his involvement in orchestra in high school under the directors Marina Hall and later Jessica Allen. After high school he started his participation in the Palomar Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Ellen Weller. Jared obtained his Associates degree in arts from Palomar College while studying violin with Ulli Reiner in the schools applied music program. Jared is now attending Cal State University San Marcos where he will obtain his Bachelor’s degree in Music. At CSUSM Jared is privately studying violin with Dr. Angela Xing. Then, he plans on getting his teaching credential. He has also been involved in the Poway Symphony and Poway Symphonette. Jared has had the privilege of performing alongside some notable musicians such as Dr. Ching-Ming Cheng, Dr. Peter Gach, and Angel Romero. Jared has worked as a string mentor at San Diego Youth Symphony and Carlsbad High School. He has been teaching private music lessons for four years. Jared has a passion for teaching others the joys of the world of music. Jared has a diverse background ranging from music theory to live rock band music to music production technology and is continuing to find new interests to explore in the field of music creation and performance.
